KISS boys lift Praharaj Memorial Inter-School Trophy

Bhubaneswar-based Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) emerged champions in the 2nd Hara Mohan Praharaj Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament, defeating Arnodhaya Public School, Bhilai by seven wickets in the final at Ispat Vidyalaya Ground here today.

KISS batsman Pradip Nayak hit an unbeaten 50 to bag the prize as player of the final match. His teammate Amod Majhi pocked the award as player of the tournament. Altogether 16 teams from Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh participated in the tournament, which was organised by Rourkela Gymkhana to pay tribute to former Odisha allrounder Hara Mohan Praharaj.

Rourkela Steel Plant Executive Director M K Das, DGMs Rabi Narayan Panda and A K Acharya handed over the trophy and other prizes in the presence of Arjuna Awardee Sunil Patra, former cricketers Shabbir Hussain, Pannalal Bose, eminent athletics coach P N Gantayat and Rourkela Gymkhana secretary R Srikanth.
